Project Details
The Camarena Health & Wellness Center at Tesoro Viejo is a first of its kind facility offering medical, dental, behavioral health and health education services to the local community. To support the active and health-centric lifestyle of its patients and Tesoro Viejo residents alike, wellness classes, counseling sessions, community workshops, and group workouts are also offered in various flex and gym spaces.
Team FD took inspiration from the Tesoro Viejo surrounding landscape to create a natural and organic earth-tone color palette paired with textural elements and geometric shapes that modernize the design. Bronze metal accents can be found throughout both floors of the facility - from tile patterns to accent paint to flooring details to plumbing fixtures - tying the spaces across the two-story building together. Photography of the central California landscape is purposefully placed for additional pops of color, and contemporary furniture offers patients and community members moments of rest and refuge (and a place to plug in!)
